Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG

MiG (originally founded in 1939 by Russian aircraft designers Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich as "Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau”) is a world well-known name with its history going back to early 40-s of the 20th century. According to the Russian Aircraft Corporation “MiG” over 450 combat aircraft have been designed so far and 94 put in serial production. In total, over 45,000 MiG aircraft have been produced in Russia with 11,000 exported abroad. Other countries manufactured over 14,000 MiG fighters under license.
