The American military journal «Defense News» published the results of the annual survey of world arms market in 2011, amont top 100 world's largest arms companies the Russians have the following ranking:

• "Russian Helicopters" -39
• Sukhoi - 42
• Russian combat aircraft manufacturer "Irkut" – 58
• United Engine Corporation – 59
• Concern RTI Systems – 87
• Russian Aircraft Corporation “MiG" – 90

First place in the world's top 100 arms manufacturers of the journal "Defence News" has an American corporation Lockheed Martin, followed by Boeing and British BAE Systems. Rating is calculated in terms of sales volume.
